The Nebraska Class O written test contains 25 questions covering driving laws, road signs and safe-driving rules.
What score do I need to pass?
You must answer at least 20 of the 25 questions correctly, which is an 80% passing score.
How much does the Nebraska knowledge test cost?
Nebraska does not list a separate standard knowledge-test charge. The original Learner’s Permit costs $13, including the $5 security fee.
Can I take the Nebraska permit test online?
No. The required vision and written examinations are completed through Nebraska driver-licensing services.
What should I bring to the Nebraska DMV office?
Bring proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful status and identity, two documents proving your Nebraska residential address and your Social Security number, or acceptable proof that you are exempt from the Social Security requirement. Bring certified documents showing any legal name changes when applicable.
What happens if I fail?
You cannot take the Nebraska Class O written test again on the same day. For the first three attempts, there must normally be one day between tests. A fourth attempt requires a seven-day interval. After failing six attempts, you must complete approved driver training or wait 90 days before further testing.
