How many questions are on the real Missouri permit test?
The Missouri Class F written test contains 25 multiple-choice questions covering traffic laws and safe-driving methods. Applicants must also complete separate vision and road-sign recognition tests.
What score do I need to pass?
You must answer at least 20 of the 25 written-test questions correctly, which is an 80% passing score.
How much does the Missouri knowledge test cost?
The Class F instruction permit costs $10 and is valid for up to 12 months.
Can I take the Missouri permit test online?
No. Applicants may complete the written, vision and road-sign tests at a Missouri State Highway Patrol driver-examination station.
What should I bring to the Missouri DOR office?
Bring documents proving your legal name and age when taking the tests at an MSHP examination station. After passing, take your Driver Examination Record to a Missouri license office with proof of identity, lawful status, Social Security number and Missouri residency. REAL ID applicants generally need two proofs of residency. Applicants aged 15–17 must also be accompanied by a qualified adult who can sign the permission statement.
What happens if I fail?
There is no universally applied waiting period to resit the knowledge test - ask the MSHP examiner when you may try again.
